Code of Police Laws (Cap. 10), article 124
124. The owner or occupier of any house is bound to whitewash
and purify such house, within a r easonable time, regard being h ad
to the size of the house, wheneve r he is so ordered by the sani tary
authority, for preventing or checking the spreading of any dise ase
which is, in the opinion of the General Services Board, epidemi c or
communicable by contagion or inf ection, saving the right, if an y, of
the person defraying the necessary expense, to recover such
expense from t he other, accord ing to law.
