Code of Police Laws (Cap. 10), article 126
126. (1) No person shall, without a licence from the sanitary
authority, the duration of whic h shall not exceed one year, kee p on
any premises within the limits mentioned in sub-article (2) of the
last preceding article, any animal of the bovine species, or an y pig,
goat, sheep, horse, mule or donkey.
Conditions of
licence.
(2) The sanitary authority shal l not grant any licence for the
keeping of any of such animals in any cellar within the said li mits;
or for the keeping of any such animal in any other place within such

limits, unless the floo r thereof is of hard stone, asphalt or a ny other
impervious material, and is connected with the public sewer in a
manner approved by the sanitary authority and unless such place is
provided with such ventilators as the sanitary authority may
consider necessary.
Power of
Superintendent of
Public Health.
(3) The Superintendent of Public Health may refuse to grant or
renew any such licence whenever , in his opinion, the keeping of
any of the said animal s may cause a nuisance.
Power of Minister
responsible for
public health to
extend application
of this article.
(4) The Minister responsible for public health may from time to
time, on the advice of the Gener al Services Board, direct, by m eans
of a notice published in the Gazette, that all or any of the
provisions of this article shall apply to any other locality no t
mentioned in sub-article (2) of the last preceding article.
