Code of Police Laws (Cap. 10), article 131
131. (1) It shall be lawful for the Minister responsible for
public works to appoint one or more engineers for the inspectio n
and testing of boilers whatever their use.
Power of engineer.(2) Any engineer so appointed may after giving two days’
notice enter any build ing in order to inspect any such boiler.
Periodical
inspections.
(3) Inspections shall be made half yearly, in the second and
fourth quarter of each year, or at such other periods as may be
prescribed by the Mi nister responsible for public works.
Fees for
inspections.
(4) The fee for each inspection shall not exceed two euro and
thirty-three cents (2.33), and shall be paid by the owner or us er of
the boiler.
Definition of
"boiler".
(5) For the purposes of this article, the word "boiler" means
any closed vessel used for gener ating steam, or for heating wat er or
other liquids, or into which steam is admitted for heating, ste aming,
boiling, or other s imilar purposes.
