171. (1) In the Court of Magistrates (Malta) and in the Court of Magistrates (Gozo) in its inferior jurisdiction, proceedings sh all be by application which shall be accor ding to the prescribed form and take the form of a mere notice signed by the Registrar, containing t he name and the surname of the plaintiff and of the defendant, the dema nd of the plaintiff, and the day and hour when the defendant is to ap pear, besides other particulars as m ay from time to time be prescribe d. (2) The cause shall be summarily heard in terms o f article 215. (3) Without prejudice to article 23, in the said courts, the judgment need not contain all the reasons thereof, but may mere ly list the main points upon which the court would have based its conclusions.
