538. At the expiration of the said time, the court, in the absence of opposition, shall examine the claim of the applicant; and if the claim appears to be justified, the court shall allow the demand and shall declare the succession ope ned in his favour and may, at t he request of the applicant, also establish in its decree, the ide ntity of any other person called to the i nheritance and his relative sha re therein.
