573A. Any officer or employee of a government department or any officer or other employee of any body having a distinct leg al personality may be authorised by the person subpoenaed to give evidence in his stead on any matter about which he is more knowledgeable and relating to the said department or body and on which the said person subpoenaed was required to give evidence: Provided that the person subpoenaed shall give such evidence personally if it is so stated in the subpoena. 168 CAP. 12.] CODE OF ORGANIZATION AND CIVIL PROCEDURE Persons present in court may be called to give evidence.
