658. If the referee appointed by the court is a person duly
authorized by the Government to act as an expert, or to exercis e
any trade or profession, and such referee shall, without reason able
excuse, refuse to accept the appointment, it shall be lawful fo r the
court which made the appointment to interdict him from acting a s
referee in any of the superior or inferior courts for a period not
exceeding six months.
