683. It shall he lawful for the court, on the demand of the
parties or of its own motion, to order an inspection of the pla ce,

whenever it may deem it expedien t for the dispos al of the cause .
Contents of decree. 684. The court shall, in the decree ordering an inspection of the
place, appoint the day and time f or the inspection, and may als o
order one referee or thr ee referees to attend.
