840. (1) The marshal shall execute a warrant of description by describing the things in detail stating the number and quality thereof. (2) He shall also state the wei ght or measure, and the value thereof, if the applicant makes an express demand to that effec t in the application for the issue of the warrant, or subsequently, by means of a note; in any such case the value shall be stated upo n an appraisement made by o ne or more experts appointed by the court .
