85. (1) No person may be admitted to practice as a legal procurator without the authority of the President of Malta gran ted by warrant under the Public Seal of Malta, acting on the recommend ation of the Committee. (2) Upon the grant of a warrant in terms of sub-article (1), the Committee shall register the legal procurator in the Register maintained by the Committee. (3) Any person who acts in contravention of the provisions of CODE OF ORGANIZATION AND CIVIL PROCEDURE [CAP. 12. 31 sub-article (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on con viction, be liable to a fine ( multa ) not exceeding twenty-five thousand euro (€25,000) or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding one (1) year, or to both such fine and imprisonment.
