120. (1) Upon an application for an adoption decree of a person to be adopted, the court sh all appoint such person as ma y be prescribed to act as special cur ator of the person to be adopte d with the duty of safeguarding the interests of the person to be adop ted before the court. (2) Following an application for an adoption decree of a minor, the Court shall appoint a Children’s Advocate to ensure that th e minor is adequately represented and hi s best interests are safeguarde d.
