Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 164
164. (1) The judges and the magistra tes are not eligible for the
office of tutor, except in the case of their own relative by
consanguinity in any degree in the direct line, or up to the de gree of
cousin in the collateral line.
(2) Tutorship already assumed in regard to persons other than
the aforesaid relatives shall cease on the appointment of the t utor to
the office of judge or magistrate.
