Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 170
170. (1) If, at the time of the death of any one of the spouses
without issue, the surviving spouse declares that she is pregnant,
the court may, upon the demand of any person interested, appoint a
curator ad ventrem with a view to preventing any supposition of
birth, or substitution of child, and administering the property up to
the day of the birth, under such directions as the court may deem it
proper to give.
(2) It shall be lawful for the court to appoint a female as
curatrix, and entrust another person with the administration of the
property.
