Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 194
194. The presumptive heirs of an absentee, or any other person
interested, may apply to the competent court in the island in w hich
the absentee last resided, for the appointment of a curator to
manage the property of such abse ntee, and for any other requisi te
directions for the prese rvation of his property.
