220. (1) If the absentee reappear s , o r i f h i s e x i s t e n c e i s established, the effects of the provisional possession, or of t he authority to exercise the right m entioned in article 211, shall cease, and the court shall give the necessary directions for the preservation and administ ration of his property. (2) The possessors of the property, and such persons as may have obtained any payment by reas on of the exercise of any righ t depending upon the death of the absentee, shall be bound to res tore the same together with the fruits, as provided in sub-article ( 2) of article 218.
