Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 262
262. Any person required by the competent officer to give
information concerning the particulars required for the drawing up
of any of the acts referred to in this Title, who refuses to an swer
any question put to him by such officer relating to such partic ulars,
or falsely states that he does not know such particulars, shall , on
conviction by the competent court, be liable to imprisonment fo r a
term not exceeding three months.
