Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 390
390. The rights of use and habitation may not be created by the
owner otherwise than by a public deed, and they shall not be
operative as against third parties before the deed is registere d in the
Public Registry, upon the demand of any of the interested parti es,
or of the notary before whom the deed was executed. The note fo r
the registration of the deed sha ll be drawn up as provided in s ub-
article (2) of article 330.
