Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 438
438. (1) A person over whose tenement the branches of the
neighbour’s trees extend, may compel him to cut such branches,
and may gather the fruits hanging from them.
(2) Moreover, if the roots extend into his tenement, he may cut
them off himself.
