Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 487

487. Where two buildings which belonged to one owner, are about to be divided, it shall be competent to each of the co- partitioners to demand, before proceeding to the partition, the cessation of any easement betwee n the two tenements, provided this can be done without any serious prejudice. Easements acquired in favour of dotal or emphyteutical tenements.
