Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 586
586. Saving the provisions relating to donations made in
contemplation of marriage and t hose relating to life insurance, it
shall not be lawful to dispose of an inheritance, either wholly or in
part, or of any sum of money or other particular subject belong ing
to an inheritance otherwise than by a will.
