679. (1) Where, after the receipt of any such will, the ship returns to the port of Malta, the master, or the person in poss ession of the will, shall, within the time of eight working days, pres ent such will to the court of voluntary jurisdiction, unless such w ill shall have been, before the expiration of such time, withdrawn by the testator. Where vessel touches at port outside Malta. (2) If the ship touches at any por t outside Malta, the master, o r the person in possession of the will, shall deposit one of the duplicates with the diplomatic or consular representative of th e Government of Malta in that port or with a person serving in a diplomatic, consular or other foreign service of any country wh ich, by arrangement with the Government of Malta, has undertaken to represent that Government’s interests in that port or with a pe rson authorized in that behalf by the President of Malta, or in the absence of such persons, with some trustworthy person being a citizen of Malta or other Commonw ealth citizen, and shall, with all possible dispatch, transmit the other duplicate to the Authorit y for Transport in Malta who shall, within the time of eight days, pr esent it to the said court. (3) Any person acting in contrave ntion of any of the provisions of this article shall, on proceedi ngs taken in accordance with the provisions of article 661, be lia ble to interdiction from his o ffice or profession for a time not exceedin g two years, or to any of the other punishments prescribed in that article.
