Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 741

741. Where the right of accretion does not take place, the vacant portion of the inheritan ce, with such obligations and burdens as attach to it, shall vest in the heirs-at-law of the testator, and the vacant portion of the legacy, with such obligations and burdens as attach to it, shall, where any of the heirs or any legatee was particularly charged with the payment of the legacy, vest i n such heir or legatee, or, where t he inheritance was so charged, in all the heirs, in proportion to the share of each in the inheritanc e. Where usufruct is bequeathed to two or more persons conjointly.
