802. Representation in the descen ding direct line takes place in infinitum and in all cases, whether the children of the deceased take with the descendants of a predeceased child, or whether, all th e children of the deceased having predeceased him, the descendant s stand amongst themselves in equal or unequal degrees. Representation does not take place between ascendants.
