Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 82

82. In default of the act of birth a nd the possession of status, or if the child shall have been registered under a false name, or as being born of parents uncertain, or in case of supposition or substitution of a child, althoug h in these last two cases, ther e exists an act of birth in conformity with the status possessed by the child, the proof of filiation may be made by any other evidence admissible according to law.
