Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 852

852. (1) Arrangements made for the funeral, acts of mere preservation, or of provisional administration, shall not, unless the status of heir has also been assumed, imply acceptance of the inheritance. (2) The provisions of sub-article (1) shall also apply in the case of judicial proceedings in respect of possessory actions, in which case the person entitled to succeed shall be considered as de jure curator of the inheritance in terms of article 886(2). (3) Sub-article (2) shall only apply if the person entitled to succeed states in the action that he is acting in his capacity of de jure curator. Acts implying acceptance.
