Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 888
888. Where the heir renounces the inheritance before the
expiration of the times, original or enlarged, referred to in t he
foregoing articles, any lawful expense incurred by him up to th e
time of the renunciation, shall b e at the charge of the inherit ance.
