958A. For the purposes of this Sub-title: "cross-border succession" includes a succession wherein one or more of the follo wing may occur: (a) the deceased held property or assets in more than one country; or (b) the deceased was at the time of his death habitually resident in a country other than the country of which he was a national; or (c) the deceased made a disp osition of property upon death in a country other than the country of which he was a national; or (d) the beneficiaries of the succession are habitually resident or are nationals in more than one country; "European Certificate of Succe ssion" means the certificate referred to in Chapter VI of the Succession Regulation; "Succession Regulation" means Regulation (EU) No. 650/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012 on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of decisions and acceptance and enforcement of authentic instrumen ts CIVIL CODE [CAP. 16. 219 in matters of succession and on the creation of a European Certificate of Succession, includi ng any future amendment to th e said Regulation.
