Police Act (Cap. 164), article 55
55. (1) Any minor, or victim of a sexual offence, or
vulnerable victim or witness shall have the said interview and any
statement made by them recorded by audio-visual means when
interviewed by the police in the course of an investigation:

Provided that for the purposes of this sub-article, any audio-
visually recorded interview or statement shall be admissible as
evidence in any trial before a court of criminal judicature con cerning
the offence to which it relate s and the provisions of sub-artic le (3A) of
article 646 of the Criminal Code shall apply to viva voce evidence
given by such pers on during the trial.
(2) The Minister, in concurrence with the Minister responsible f or
Justice may make regulations to lay down anything that needs to be
prescribed for the setting up of a contemporaneous television
transmission during a trial as provided in sub-article (1) and to lay
down such rules of procedure and of evidence as may be necessar y for
such purpose as well as to secure greater protection of the per sonal
safety, sense of modesty, psychological stability of such witne sses as
may, on account of special circu mstances, require such protecti on.
