93. (1) The Commissioner may authorize the competent authorities of a Member State of the European Union (hereinafte r referred to as "seconding Member State") to conduct in Malta, j ointly with or under the supervision or direction of the Police, patro ls and other operations by officers or other officials (hereinafter re ferred to as POLICE ACT [CAP. 164. 31 "seconded officers") of that State. (2) The Commissioner may also grant the said authorization following a request by a foreign competent authority of a Membe r State. Vesting or exercise of functions, powers and duties in or by seconded officers.
