Maltese Citizenship Act (Cap. 188), article 12
12. A person registered as a citizen of Malta or granted a
certificate of natural isation under this Act shall become a cit izen of
Malta by registration or naturalisation, as the case may be, on the
date on which he is registered or naturalised.
