297. Whenever it is made to appea r to the Minister that the government of any foreign country is willing that the collision regulations, or the foregoing provisions of this Part of this A ct relating thereto or otherwise relating to collisions, or any of those regulations or provisions, should apply to the ships of that co untry when beyond the limits of Maltese territorial waters, the Minis ter may by order in the Gazette direc t that those regulations and provisions shall, subject to a ny limitations of time, condition s and qualifications contained in the order, apply to the ships of th e country aforesaid, whether within Maltese territorial or inland waters or not, and that such ship s shall, for the purposes of s uch regulations and provisions, be treated as if they were Maltese ships. 6.
