330. In this Part of this Act, unless the context otherwise requires- "wreck" includes jetsam, flotsa m, lagan and derelict found in o r on the shores of the sea; "salvage" includes all expenses properly incurred by the salvor in the performance of the salvage services. Receiver of wreck.331. ( 1 ) W h e r e a v e s s e l , w h e t h e r M a l t e s e o r f o r e i g n , i s wrecked, stranded or in distress on the coasts of Malta or at s ea within the territorial jurisdiction of Malta, such person as th e Minister may designate or appoint for that purpose (in this Act referred to as the "receiver of w reck") shall take such steps a s he thinks fit for the preservation of the vessel and of the lives of the persons belonging to the vessel and of the cargo and apparel of the vessel. (2) The receiver of wreck shall have such powers as the Minister may deem fit to assign to him according to circumstanc es, and, in addition to the expenses properly incurred by him in th e performance of his duties, he ma y be paid such fees as the Mini ster directs.
