67. The parent of a person who dies as a result of a personal injury caused by an accident arising out of or in the course of his employment or self-occupation or deemed to be so in accordance with the provisions of article 28 or as a result of an industri al disease as is referred to in that article shall be entitled for life to a Parent’s Pension at the rate set out in the Twelfth Schedule to this Act from the date of the person’ s death, if at that date he/she - (i) was being wholly or mainly maintained by him/ her or would but for the relevant accident have been so maintained; and (ii) was either over pension age, or was permanently incapable of self-support: Provided that if both parents of the deceased person are entitled to a Parent’s Pension, any such pension shall be apportioned equally between each of the parents.
