Consumer Affairs Act (Cap. 378), article 51I

51I. The provisions of this Title shall be without prejudice to: (a) any provision under the laws of Malta regulating contract in particular those governing the validity, formation or effect thereof; (b) any rule relating to the health and safety aspects of products; (c) any provision under the laws of Malta implementing a Community Directive or any provision under Community law regulating specific aspects of unfair commercial practices, in so far as those specific aspects are concerned; (d) any condition of establishment or of an authorization regime or any deontological code of conduct or other specific rules governing regulated professions in order to uphold high standards of integrity on the part of the professional; (e) any requirement imposed by any other law, in the field of financial services and immovable property, which is more restrictive or prescriptive than the requirements imposed by the provisions of this Title.
