55A. (1) The provisions of articles 4 8 to 53, as they were prior to the 12th December, 2007 shall be deemed to have remained in force for the purpose of any prosecution commenced in terms thereof prior to the said date. (2) Where an act in breach of articles 48 to 53 as they were prior to 12th December, 2007 happe ned before the said date, but no prosecution was commenced by the said date, the provisions of t his Part as in force from the 12th December, 2007 shall apply, as i f such act happened af ter the said date.
