126. (1) A company may, on giving notice by advertisement in a daily newspaper circulating wholly or mainly in Malta, close the register of members to inspection for any period or periods not exceeding in the whole t hirty days in each year. (2) The register of debentures may be closed to inspection in accordance with provisions contained in the memorandum or articles or in the debentures or, in the case of debenture stoc k, in the stock certificates, during su ch period or periods, not exce eding in the whole thirty days in any one year, as may be therein specified. (3) The memorandum or articles may provide that, during such time as the register of members or the register of debentures i s closed in accordance with the pr ovisions of sub-articles (1) an d (2), no new particulars may be entered therein.
