Companies Act (Cap. 386), article 406
406. (1) If inspectors appointed under article 404 or article
405 to investigate the affairs of a company think it necessary for
the purposes of their investigation to investigate also the aff airs of
another body corporate which is or at any relevant time has bee n
the company’s subsidiary or parent company, or a subsidiary of its
parent company or a parent company of its subsidiary, they shal l
have power to do so; and they shall report on the affairs of th e other
body corporate so far as they think that the results of their
investigation of its affairs are relevant to the investigation of the
affairs of the first mentioned company.
(2) Inspectors appointed under ar ticle 404 or article 405 may at
any time in the course of their investigation, without the nece ssity

of making an interim report, inform the Registrar of matters co ming
to their knowledge as a result of the investigation tending to show
the existence of a d efault or the commis sion of an offence.
