78. Subject to article 68, this Act applies to every arbitration agreement, whether made before or after the commencement of thi s Act, and to every arbitration under such an agreement: Provided that where arbitration proceedings had been commenced before the date of commencement of this Act and are still pending on that date then, notwithstanding any thing cont ained in this Act, those proceedings shall continue to be governed by the law applicable thereto before the commencement of this Act unle ss all the parties to those proceedings agree that this Act shall apply thereto with effect from the date of the agreement whereupon th is Act shall apply accordingly.
