208B. (1) The following provisions shall apply to the offences under articles 198, 203 to 204D, both inclusive, and article 208A(1), (1A), (1B), 208AA and 208AB. (2) In addition to the punishment established for the said offences, the Court may order that the offender be temporarily or permanently prevented from exercising at least professional activities involving direct or regular contact with children. (2A) Where the court makes an order under sub-article (2) such order shall be registered in any criminal record of the offende r. (2B) Where the person convicted of any of the offences mentioned in sub-article (1) is the subject of an order as that provided for by sub-article (2) made by a foreign court the cou rt shall order that effect shall be given to the order made by the foreign court as if it were an order made by the court under su b- article (2). (3) The provisions of articles 121D, 248E(4) and 248E(6) shall apply mutatis mutandis . Cap. 63. (4) The provisions of articles 13 and 14 of the White Slave Traffic (Suppression) Ordinance , shall apply mutatis mutandis . (5) Without prejudice to the provisions of article 5, the Maltes e courts shall also have jurisdict ion over the said offences wher e: (a) only part of the action giving execution to the offence took place in Malta; or (b) t h e o f f e n d e r i s a M a l t e s e n a t i o n a l o r p e r m a n e n t resident in Malta or the offence was committed for the benefit of a body corporate registered in Malta; or (c) the offence was committed by means of a computer system accessed from Malta notwithstanding that such computer system may be outside Malta; or (d) the offence was committed against a Maltese national CRIMINAL CODE [CAP. 9. 109 or permanent resident in Malta. (6) Notwithstanding any other provision of this Code or of any other law, the period of prescri ption shall run from the day on which the victim attains the age of twenty-three (23) years. (7) For the purposes of this article, the phrase "permanent resident" shall have the same m eaning assigned to it by article 5(1)( d). Aiding and abetting. Added by: IV .2014.16.
