Criminal Code (Cap. 9), article 283A
283A. No proceedings shall be ins tituted in respect of any
offence of theft of electricity e xcept on the complaint of the injured
party even if the offence is one which falls within the compete nce
of the Court of Magistrates as provided in article 370(1) and e ven if
the injured party has not expressly waived the right to prosecu te
within four days from the commission of the offence. The
provisions of this article shall apply notwithstanding anything to
the contrary provided in article 373.
OF SIMPLE THEFT
Simple theft.284. Theft, when not accompanied w ith any of the aggravating
circumstances speci fied in article 261, is simple theft.
