352. W h e r e t h e s e a r c h t o b e p e r f o r m e d i s r e q u i r e d i n a n unattended vehicle and it is not p ossible to obtain the attenda nce of its registered owner, then a police officer may only carry out the search if he has a warrant from a superior officer not below th e rank of an inspector.
