Criminal Code (Cap. 9), article 366A
366A. (1) Every person suspected or accused of having
committed a criminal offence or an alleged criminal offence sha ll be
presumed to be innocent until the decision on the final determi nation
of whether that person has committed the criminal offence has b ecome
definitive:
Provided that the provisions of this article shall be without
prejudice to the proviso to sub-article (5) of article 39 of th e
Constitution and to the enforcement, as may be provided by law, of a
judgement of the Court of Magistrates or of the Criminal Court
pending the hearing of an appeal after the accused has been fou nd
guilty of having committed a criminal offence by one of the sai d
Courts.
