Criminal Code (Cap. 9), article 425
425. If any witness duly summoned fails to appear, and the
court deems it necessary to hear such witness, the court may
adjourn the hearing of the appeal to another day, and the provi sions
of article 441, in so far as applicable, shall apply. Unless th e court
orders otherwise, witnesses shall be summoned by the Police in the
manner provided for in article 365.
