Criminal Code (Cap. 9), article 431
431. (1) Unless otherwise provided in this Code or in any other
law, the functions of the Attorney General commence from the da y on
which the record of the inquiry made by the Court of Magistrate s is
transmitted by the court to the Attorney General by electronic means.
Access to
accused.
(2) From the day referred to in sub-article (1) and until the
indictment is filed, access to t he person accused, if in custod y, may
only take place with the permiss ion of the Attorney General. Th e
provisions of article 408(2) sh all apply to such permission.
