Criminal Code (Cap. 9), article 497
497. In this Title, unl ess the context otherwise requires, -
the expression "appellant" includes a person who has been
convicted and desires to app eal under this Title; and
the expression "sentence" incl udes any order of the court made
on conviction with reference to t he person convicted and the po wer
of the Court of Criminal Appeal to pass a sentence includes a
power to make any such order.
