523. W h e n t h e r e i s a r e a s o n a b l e s u s p i c i o n o f a n y f a l s i t y o f evidence, the court may order the arrest of the person suspecte d to be guilty thereof; if this takes place before the Criminal Cour t or Court of Criminal Appeal, the court shall order such person to be brought before the Court of Magis trates for the necessary inqui ry; and if it takes place before the Court of Magistrates, such cou rt shall proceed thereon ex officio.
