Criminal Code (Cap. 9), article 53
53. Where a person sentenced for a contravention shall, within
three months from the date of the expiration or remission of th e
punishment, commit another contravention, he may be sentenced t o
detention for a term not exceed ing two months, or to a fine ( multa ),
or to imprisonment for a t erm not exceeding one month.
