Criminal Code (Cap. 9), article 552
552. (1) The magistrate may, where necessary, order the
dissection and the internal examination of the body.
(2) For the purposes of this article and of article 551(1), the
magistrate may appoint a medical expert or experts and he may a lso
empower such expert or experts to hear evidence on oath for
establishing the identity of the body and to ascertain the caus e of
death.
