628A. (1) The Minister responsible for justice may make regulations to give effect to any arrangement, including any tr eaty, convention, agreement or understanding, to which Malta is a par ty or is otherwise applicable to Ma lta and which makes provision f or mutual assistance in criminal matters. (2) Regulations made under this article may make provision as the Minister may deem appropriat e in the circumstances, includi ng the application, with any appropr iate modifications, of any of the provisions of this Code or of any other law.
