Criminal Code (Cap. 9), article 672

672. Notwithstanding any other pr ovision of this Code or of any other law, where the property has been exhibited in court in th e course of proceedings for an offence against the Customs Ordinance, the Excise Duty Act or against the External Transactions Act and the property has been forfeited in favour of the Government by virtue of the operation of any provision of t his Code or of any other law such property shall be released in fav our of the Comptroller of Customs. In any other case the property exhibited as aforesaid shall not be released, except in executi on of a final judgment of the competent civil court, if the Comptroll er of Customs objects to such release.
